Olga Bertelsen is an assistant professor of intelligence studies in the Department of Global Security and Intelligence Studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s College of Security and Intelligence. After a medical education in Ukraine she studied at Bloomsburg University, Penn State, and the University of Nottingham. Widely published on the methods of the Soviet secret police and state and political violence in Ukraine, she is the editor of Revolution and War in Contemporary Ukraine and the author of a forthcoming book, Crossing Ethnic Barriers.
